The Idea

East West Bridge (EWB) is an independent international network of hundreds of researchers and experts from almost 70 countries, committed to shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future. We collaborate closely with leading governmental institutions, think tanks, and NGOs worldwide to develop actionable guidelines for individual, societal, and state development.

Founded in Serbia in 2009, EWB rapidly evolved into a globally recognized movement dedicated to fostering dialogue, peace, and constructive social change. Our mission is to educate, illuminate, and advise—identifying pressing societal challenges and offering thoughtful, pragmatic solutions.

We champion open, inclusive, and honest dialogue on the critical issues hindering progress. Our approach begins by building consensus around shared values and common ground, deferring divisive topics until trust has been established and mutual understanding can flourish.

We do not settle for mere tolerance. Our vision is fulfilled only when communities actively recognize, embrace, and respect their differences—whether ideological, political, religious, sexual, or otherwise.

Despite extraordinary advancements in science, technology, economics, and culture over the past half-century, humanity faces a troubling rise in hatred, misinformation, mistrust, hostility, envy, and greed. EWB is committed to uncovering the root causes of these societal distortions and restoring a foundation of values, integrity, and decency.

To achieve this, EWB operates specialized Task Forces focused on: Foreign and Domestic Policy; Human Rights; Economy; Media; Anti-Crime, Anti-Corruption, and Counter-Terrorism; Ecology; Health Care and Education; New Technologies and Cyber Security

Each Task Force engages with global counterparts, sharing insights and reporting on developments in their respective fields. Our collective goal is clear: to make peace, diversity, inclusion, and socio-political stability not a distant aspiration, but a tangible reality—here and now.

The membership in East West Bridge International and all of its foreign chapters must not be confused with the membership of other friendly and affiliated organizations like the Trilateral Commission, Serbia Germany Forum, NGIC or others. If one is a member of EWB it does NOT imply he or she is automatically a member of the Trilateral Commission or any other of the listed organizations. They have their own leadership and memberships and different application and admission membership procedures. The list of members of those organizations is clearly listed on this site.
